Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.
Hands down, one of my favourite movies ever. Then again “my favourite movies” contains a wide variety of titles. I was stuck on whether to write about this, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Crash, The Big Lebowski, Basketball Diaries, Trainspotting, Fight Club, Garden State, Dead Poets Society, and more - a lot more. I brainstormed an entire list.
Moving on.
Honestly, I don’t know where to start. The movie just gave me so much to think about the first time I saw it. It reminds me to think of the happy moments in my past rather than the sad. Not trying to get too off-topic, but I for one have never been in love. I’ve dated several girls for short periods of time only. I have yet to be involved in a serious relationship. With that said, I can’t say that I’ve experienced what the movie had to offer in full, but the movie still gets me thinking. I guess it eventually connects to our previous topic of marriage.
In reality we should already know that getting into relationships would have it’s hurdles. We can’t just zap out bits and pieces of our memories to get through heartbreak. Just remember the good times, not the bad.
Charlie Kaufman is a beast.
Sand is overrated. It’s just tiny, little rocks.
